ScreenCast

A screen cast is something that you can record and the recording is the computer screen you are working on. I really liked creating one because its like making a video of like a how to video on a certain topic. This can be helpful because if i don't how to do something then i can look up a video of somebody do the action. I think it would be helpful to people that aren't very computer savvy like old people. They can look up how to create an email, a Google account, a blogger etc.

I like Windows Live a lot better than Google Docs. Live is exactly like Microsoft Word which is what i like to use all the time when I'm working it just makes me more organized than i normally am. Google Docs seems to be more scrambled with what you can do with it but overall its just below Live in the rankings.

Job Cluster

The number one cluster that i got is finance which planning, services for financial and investment planning, banking, insurance, and business financial management. The jobs that i could have in financing are customer service representative, finance training, financial planning assistant, loan coordinator, operations clerk/manager, para-financial planner, banking services, or an accountant. I think this cluster kind of fits me the best. It has my interests and everything but in the long run i don't think i would be happy doing these jobs until I retire.

Review

Google Docs is an online application created by Google that lets you upload and create a file that two or more people can work on at the same time. Google docs can be used to create a presentation to your class or a survey to people on your blog. They can take the survey and you can view the results in a different document. Wiki is a website that you can add, modify or delete its content via web browser.Wikis are powered by their own software and are created usually by two or more users. Assistive Technology helps the physically impaired people with something that can not do without the help of somebody else. For example, a hearing aid helps people who are going deaf, and a large print keyboard can help a person out who is losing their sight.

Google Docs Wrap Up

What i like about Google docs is that you can work with 2 people on the same document, and that it saves automatically when something is erased or written down. The one thing that really bothered me when using Google docs was that when your partner was typing and you were trying to type as well your computer ran really slow and you always had to wait for it to catch up to you. I loved the fact that you can work on the same document as your partner that's something I've never really seen before. Google just needs to update it i think it just seems to plain and old and not real up to date with everything. My project seemed to turn out very well not a lot of problems with things it just seemed like our time management was off and could get quite finished.

Technology

The article I found is all about the new social gaming hit Draw Something. The creator of the app, OMGPOP got bought by Zynga for $200 million. It is the modern day Pictionary, that you can play on your phone or iPad.You have 3 options to choose from graded from easy to hard, and if you pick th easy option you only earn 1 coin for drawing it etc. This game is extermely addictive!

Critquing the Citation Tools

I think Easybib was easier to handle and operate than Citation Machine. Easybib seemed to have more information about what i was looking for to cite and things like that. Citation Machine seemed to be a more complicated when trying to cite something. But in the end they both get the job done.

Lil Wayne Vs. Karma-Ann Swanpoel

In a Louisina court house, on Tuesday May 27th, 2008, Karma-Ann Swanpoel's song "'Once'" is sampled by Lil Wayne in the mixtape track, "I Feel Like Dying". The lawsuit accuses the award-winning recording artist of copyright infringement. Karma-Ann Swanepoel claims Lil Wayne didn't have permission to sample a song by singer and is suing for compensatory damages, even though the rapper did not profit directly from the song as it was leaked to the internet and passed from person-to-person websites and not sold on any retail album. Karma-Ann Swanpoel ends up winning  the battle for $15 million and Lil Wayne got permission from her to publish her song on his new album that year called  Tha Carter III.

Internet Safety

Internet Safety is using your common sense and not giving out any personal information to somebody you don't know. A couple of rules that i learned yesterday are that don't post a picture of yourself and say your 18 when really you are younger than 18. Don't respond back to any creepy message becasue thne they have your attention and for your safety you don't want them to have your attention. Don't agree on having somebody meet you when you don't know them. One thing that i can improve on is my age on facebook it says im 17 when really im 16.

Feed Readers

I found Google reader to be the easiest out of the other 3 readers that we did. FeedDemon to me seemed to be slow and inefficient.I did't get to work with bloglines very much but when my parnetr asked me for help it seemed to be very diificult in trying to navigate around to find new post to subscribe to.Google Reader seemed to be fast and as easy as a click of the mouse. It supplied me with pictures of shoes or goalie pads everyday, unlike FeedDemon or bloglines thers was no pictures.
